10 things I've learnt in NS

  1. Observe your surroundings carefully. Being able to adapt quickly usually makes the difference between heaven & hell.
  2. Sometimes, when you're in deep sh*t, it's best to keep your mouth shut. And never ever ever lose your credibility, cause the moment you do, you're pretty much screwed.
  3. have no part in office politics.
  4. being sincere to others almost always pays off.
  5. learn to look at the doughnut instead of the hole in the doughnut.
  6. time flies when you're not looking at the clock.
  7. efficiency counts. not the number of hours you spend working.
  8. I'm never working late on Friday nights. Never.
  9. perseverance.
  10. It's always a pleasure to serve. :)
So what has this NS experience turned me into? I dare not say wiser, for that is not for me to assess.

But more experienced? A resounding aye!
