Dear Heavenly Father, I confess that very often, I have placed myself, other things or even other people at the centre of my life, and as a result, I have strayed away from your loving arms. I have stubbornly clung to my ways, instead of allowing you to work within me. I have taken counsel with myself, instead of seeking you for counsel.

For all those times that I have strayed, O Lord, forgive me, and renew within me a steadfast spirit - one that will bring forth praise & worship to your Name. I thank you for the year that has gone by, and it is my prayer that I will make a commitment to dedicate 2010 to you by putting you at the centre of my life. And may my faith in You never waiver. Amen.
